Spend Awhile On The Nile
The Mighty Ancient Hero Cruise
Created by Christy Semsen; Arranged by Daniel Semsen
All aboard! Join Mr. Cruise (an overly-enthusiastic tour director) and his faithful daughter Liza on a boat trip up the Nile as they retell classic Bible stories. But there's a problem: The stories are all wrong! It takes the kids of Ocean View Church who are on board to set the record straight and help Mr. Cruise understand the real truth about God's enduring love and faithfulness to His people. Filled with fun and clever songs, this easy to present and perform musical is a creative breath of fresh air that's as enlightening as it is worshipful and entertaining. Create a wonderful and unique musical experience for your children's choir and congregation with Spend Awhile on the Nile.

"The first time I listened to Spend Awhile on the Nile I was hooked! The songs are catchy, fun, and Christy's writing style is unlike any other children's musical I have heard. The storyline is full of interesting characters and Bible stories that are engaging and exciting. The kids love figuring out what Mr. Cruise doesn't understand and I love teaching my kids that God's unfailing love to His people, the Israelites, is right there for us today!" -Jenny Kujath, First Baptist Church in Raytown, MO

This musical was fun! It had many songs that students considered their "favorite," lots of fun choreography, and can include as many or as few soloists/speakers as you can imagine. Definitely something we will put into our rotation!

This was the third musical I have directed at our church (Summer 2012) and our 2nd Semsen musical. It was AMAZING! It was our favorite by far. This is incredible - fun - hilarious - and meaningful. I highly recommend this to every church!
