Hailing from the great state of South Dakota, Ashley traveled afar to attend Belmont University for Music Business. When she's not changing the world (one choral club at a time), she's attending concerts, drinking coffee, or rooting for her favorite NASCAR driver.
Chris Small, a Georgia native, arrived at Word Music after wrapping up his B.B.A in Music Business from Belmont University. He has been in choirs since the age of 6 and loves music and worship with a passion! If Chris is not finding you the perfect anthem to go with your Sunday worship set, you can probably find him playing guitar or loitering at the local coffee shop. - "I believe in Christianity as I believe that sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it, I see everything else" - C.S. Garrett is a native Texan that made his way to Word Music after graduating with a Music and Entertainment Marketing degree from Baylor University. When he's not diving into choral music, Garrett likes photography, exercising, and going to concerts!
David moved to Nashville in 2009 and has been working in the music industry ever since. He attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL and received a BA in Commercial Music. He was also part of the award winning a cappella group Breath of Soul from 2005 until 2015. David has been singing in the church from the age of 8 and continues to sing at his home church whenever he can make the trip. His passion for music and the Lord drives him to be the best resource he can in helping his customers find just what they need for their music groups. He enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and his two children, Madison and Lucy. He is also an avid wood worker and loves spending free time in his workshop.
Justin was born and raised in Nashville TN. He attended college at Middle Tennessee State University and has a BA degree in music business. He's been working for Word Music for 5 years, and can't wait to see what Word has to offer for the next 5. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his wife, Rose, of 6 years and helping out at his church, Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, TN. He also enjoys attending the next great concert (especially at the Ryman), photography, and a good movie showing at the theater.
Travis is originally from Indiana, but moved to Nashville in the summer of 2014 right after marrying his wife, Kelsey. He graduated from Purdue University in 2011 with a degree in Organizational Leadership. He is also currently pursuing an MBA, one class at a time. Before moving to Nashville, he spent three years as a youth pastor at a church in Evansville, Indiana. He’s been a part of various music ministries since he was 14 years old playing piano, guitar, bass and drums. He loves spending time with his wife, serving in music and youth ministry at Cross Point Church, going to shows, longboarding, playing ultimate frisbee, and beating all of his friends at fantasy football every year.
Rod comes to Word Music after spending the past 25 years in full time music ministry positions in GA, IN, CO, and TN. His background includes directing, teaching, arranging, writing & singing. He founded The West Tennessee Mass Choir in 1996 which released two projects and sang at many music festivals and conferences around the country. Rod has a heart and strong passion for music ministry. He enjoys helping directors find the perfect song or musical for their needs. When Rod isn’t working in music, he enjoys watching and going to Indiana University Basketball games, playing tennis or spending time with friends but most of all family. He has two children, Kara and Landon, and most recently grandson Hudson.
Harry was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. He recently graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Music Business, and started working for Word Music & Church Resources in May, 2016. Harry has a heart for serving the church, and loves being a part of a company that’s purpose is to provide great music for churches across the country. In his spare time, you can find Harry playing guitar, writing music, or fly fishing one of the great trout rivers around Nashville.
Sammy Clawson was born in Baton Rouge, LA, but grew up in Thomasville, GA. After attending Belmont University and Valdosta State University, he decided to make music city his home. Raised by a teacher and music minister, Sammy is excited to join the Word Music team after a career in IT sales. Sammy enjoys spending time with his wife and is a die-hard LSU football fan. Geaux Tigers!
